Based around the Silverado Z71, the Special Ops concept features a new front-end design, new technologies built into the high-strength steel body, and a design inspired by naval design aesthetics. Exterior highlights on the Special Ops concept include LED off-road lights, inch aluminum wheels with off-road tires, an underbody shield, and wheel flares.

The paint job, called Razzle Dazzle, is a naval-inspired camo appearance based on a three-tone blue color marked by a distinctive array of carrying colored lines and shapes.

For increased utility, the Special Ops concept includes Chevrolet's GearOn tiered storage system, utility rack package, cargo tie-down rings, and a spray-in bedliner. Inside, the new concept continues the military theme with a bright Ejector Orange color on the door and glove box handles, seats trimmed with waterproof covers, waterproof liners on the floor, and an instrument panel that echo the camo paint scheme from the exterior.
